The Karate Kid Reunion: Better than your high school reunion.

By Great White Snark | April 5, 2007

Sweep the leg. Do you have a problem with that?

No, Sensei.

What do you do if you’re William Zabka, and the highlight of your long acting career since playing Johnny in The Karate Kid has been… a cameo as Johnny in The Karate Kid, Part II? (I know, playing Chas in Back to School is nothing to sneeze at, but play along for the sake of argument, ok?)

Answer: Agree to direct the video for No More Kings‘ song “Sweep the Leg”, a catchy, rock-ditty-tribute to the pivotal moment of your unimpressive career. Arrange for the original cast of The Karate Kid, including Sensei Kreese, Daniel-san, and the Cobra Kai to appear in the video. To complete the effect that your life continues to revolve around a movie role you had back in 1984, portray yourself in the video as a useless layabout who dwells on that role you had back in 1984.

Hilarious. Cheers to Billy Zabka for his tongue-in-cheek humility.

Enjoy these fine actors in the key scene from The Karate Kid, back when they had their youth and all of their hair.

Yikes, what happened to the “Get ‘em a bodybag!” guy?

Ah Pat Morita. It’s been my long-standing belief that Mr. Miyagi and Yoda are the same being, albeit in alternate movie universes. Short. Funny-talking. Sound-bites of wisdom and some serious chop-saki. The even have the same hairstyle, for chrissakes.

By that logic, Miracle Max from The Princess Bride should be their alternate-universe half-brother.
