Great list, and thanks for the head's up about Smallville. I had been thinking about watching it again since my blood pressure has had enough Lana-free time and there is a possibility that I can view an ep without throwing things when she comes on screen ... but when I read your post I realized, not so much. I thank you for saving me the time, and the mess.

re: heroes, the d.l. stuff in 4 months ago definitely seemed a pointless resurrection since they killed him in a really ridiculous way and it was now his 2nd death.

nathan, well, we saw what happened w/ peter dropping him and what not.

peter, like ted sprague, isn't effected by his own nuclear explosion. it's not claire's power that saved him it was ted's.

and hrg's coming back from the dead was a great thing. whew.

Gerard, I keep watching Smallville in spite of my better judgment. It's an ugly addiction, but it's something I've learned to live with. Also: HRG is the Man.

Cindi: Crusher is Dr. Beverly Crusher, the redhead pictured. Since she was more than old enough to be my Mom when I first started watching the show, I just never imagined her as eye candy. Plus, she was old man Picard's love interest. Ew.

Jason: You know that's another one that wouldn't stay dead. He'd get killed only to discover his own 'ha ha you can't kill me!' powers.

Nima: Damn right. There was hardly a "Hey, anyone seen Anya around?" afterwards. Plus, she was hotter than Tara. That's just not right.

Instead of Tara from "Buffy..." I would point to Anya, who's death didn't even matter to the characters. No one even pretended to care. That's cold.

Who's Crusher? Or does that question just spotlight my utter lack of geek knowledge?

Another great post, GWS, even though I didn't get most of the references. I've been too busy suffering through "Tell Me You Love Me," and yes, I know that you wish every character on that show would meet an untimely death.

You're totally right about Smallville being a continuity sinkhole. I just can't get into it because the whole premise for the series completely undermines the rest of the Superman 'legend'. The only way they'll end it to my satisfaction is by saying the whole sordid mess took place in a parallel dimension. Or that somebody dreamt it.

Which takes you right back to Dallas.

I don't understand why everyone's hating on Heroes at the minute - I'm loving the new series. Hiro's storyline and Kensei/Adam is brilliant. I was surprised how pleased I was when HRG *wasn't* dead!

Are you trying to say that Crusher isn't sexy? For shame, GWS. For shame.
