Hmmm I wonder if I can be considered an Anime Geek? because I am usually pretty aware of the incongruencies between the original story (in the manga = japanese comic, but not quite as comics) and the animation or movies based on them, even to the point to pinpoint censure!

Ha, great example, Sean. Don't let anyone tell you you're not a hard-core music geek.

Spot on. To me being a geek means you're most content when you reveling in what other people would consider ludicrous detail about the things you love.

How do you tell if you're a geek? If you've ever argued over something as "unimportant" as whether the clicking in the background of The Beatles' "Blackbird" is a metronome or Paul's foot you are a geek. So look into the mirror, puff out your chest, and say it loud, say it proud, "I am geek".

(and for the record, it's Paul's feet. Engineer Geoff Emerick mic'd his feet separately to get the sound)
