Oh, you’d have to be a SERIOUS purist to object to a few dowels — for me, it’s really about whether you can actually eat (and, ideally, enjoy) the bulk of the “cake” — especially the major features of the sculpture. It was really the gluing of candy to cardboard/styrofoam and calling it a “cake”.
