Giveaway: Win The Ruins – Unrated Edition on DVD!

By Great White Snark | July 10, 2008

If you’re a horror fan and like the idea of young, obnoxious American tourists getting trapped with an unspeakable evil in a Mayan temple, then this is your day! (Ok, I don’t know if they’re actually obnoxious since I haven’t watched my review copy of the DVD yet, but really… do 20-something-year-old American tourists come any other way?)

The Ruins Unrated DVD

The Ruins – Unrated Edition dropped on DVD this past Tuesday, and I’ve got a copy to give away, courtesy of Paramount Home Video.

This unrated edition features scenes “too intense for theaters” (what, like prostate exams?) and an all-new alternate ending. Plus, it comes with a totally authentic south-of-the-border flavor, thanks to the “Disc Made in Mexico” stamp on the shrinkwrap. Word.

To sign up to win this brand-new DVD copy of The Ruins – Unrated:

1. If you haven’t already, get an e-mail subscription to Great White Snark. It won’t cost you nuthin’.
2. Leave a comment on this post. In the “Mail (will not be published)” field, enter the same e-mail address of your subscription, so I know who you are.
3. In the comment, indicate your favorite horror film featuring a bunch of overly-attractive college-age kids being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I’ll randomly select the winner and announce them in an update to this post next Thursday, July 17.

UPDATE: Congrats to the winner, Dan the Man!

Jeepers Creepers is the movie I’d have to say has a lot of overactive kids at the wrong place at the wrong time :)

I’m not sure if this counts, but I’d say… um… 1985′s The Blob. That movie rules and I’d punch anyone that said it doesn’t.

While stretching the rules just a tad, I’d say The Faculty. I love that flick. Now while it’s set in highschool, the actors are of college age :).

Friday the 13th. Or maybe the Town that Dreaded Sundown. Those were cool!

Halloween! I was about the same age as the actors when that movie came out and scared the heck out of me.

My favorite slasher with college teens has to be the 80′s classic Terror Train!
