Giveaway: Awesome Great White SHARK T-Shirts Inspired by Jaws!

By Great White Snark | September 9, 2008

The gents at Bonaroo (beware of loud Flash animation on their home page), fine purveyors of bad-ass t-shirts from the UK, have graciously provided me with two of their wares to give away to you blog-reader-people.

They’ve specifically provided a design from their awesome “Film and TV” collection that honors yours, truly; the “Quint’s Great White Fishing Trips” design inspired by everybody’s second-favorite Great White, Jaws.

I’ve got one medium and one large size of this super-comfortable, very high-quality cotton t-shirt available in “olive green”. The color of, um… camouflage? And, uh… green olives.

You can wear one of these shirts and think of me. Not just because I’m great. And white. I also have very pointy incisors.

To sign up to win one of these t-shirts:

  1. If you haven’t already, get an e-mail subscription to Great White Snark. It won’t cost you nuthin’.
  2. Leave a comment on this post. In the “Mail (will not be published)” field, enter the same e-mail address of your subscription, so I know who you are.
  3. In the comment, lemme know your favorite frightening 80s movie and the t-shirt size you want: M or L.

I’ll select the two winners (one per size) at random and announce them in an update to this post next Tuesday, September 16th.

UPDATE: Let this be known as the day I put clothes on the backs of Jess and Stephen.  They are appropriate grateful.

One entry per person. And remember, cheaters never prosper, because I’ve got your IP addresses, people: duplicate entries are dopey entries. Winners outside the forty-eight contiguous U.S. states pay shipping. Because this ain’t a money tree, it’s just a plain ol’ blog.

Hi, thanks for such cool event!

I’m a Jaws fan. I was only 4 when I’ve seen the movie for the first time and keep watching it whenever possible since then.

if you select me, you can send me the L size.

      80s movies???

Nightmare on Elm Street has to be my fav of all the 80s horror movies.

And I gotta go with Nathan D, why no XL? I’ll take L if no XL is offered…

I’ve always been afraid of any of the Poltergist movies…

I’m already subscribed with email: barb@st…

If I should be lucky enough to win, I’d like a large (my husband says I tend to shrink all of our clothes by a size or two LOL)…

      Thanks, Hoper I win!!!

I’ve got to admit John Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ (1982) scared the bejesus out of me.
Mind you I was only twelve when I saw it.
And as if I’d ever fit in a Medium.
      Large please!

Steve, stole my choice with John Carpenter’s “The Thing.” But I also love Carpenter’s “They Live” (1988).

Both are great in their own way. Oh and large please. Thanks!

My favorite 80’s horror film has to be “The Shining”. My Shirt size choice would be a large.

Jaws is hands down my all-time favorite film! I literally watch it nearly once a week!!!

What an ass…. I forgot my favorite 80s horror flick. “The Entity” scared the ever-loving hell outta me!!

      The Exorcist.

      Medium, baby!

I just noticed that although I saw the first Jaws movie in 80’s, it’s not an 80’s movie. My favorite 80’s horror (or thriller, in fact) movie is Seventh Sign

My husband has been a “Jaws” fan for as long as I can remember. I would love to win a size L for him in your fantastic tee shirt drawing. My frightening movie from the 80’s is “Children of the Corn!”
      Thanks for the opportunity. Cindi

I saw the original “Jaws” when it came out in *1975*, people, hiding in the back of the Fashion Valley AMC 6. (Yes, I’m just that old.) Living in San Diego as I did, it was not the best movie to see in the summer. Not that I ever went into the water, because that would have mussed up my Farrah Fawcett ‘do. (You think I’m kidding?)

My favorite horror movie of the 1980s: “Cat People,” of course. BRING THE PROD!

I’ll take a Medium, not that there’s a chance in hell of me winning.

Aliens. Saw it in the big screen with my parents when I was 7 years old. Loved it.

      M please

Forgive me, Cetin. I am a forgetful forgetter. Jess and Stephen were randomly-selected as the winners yesterday, but I neglected to update the post.
