Giveaway: The Godfather, The Coppola Restoration Collection DVD Set!

This week I’m giving away a copy of the new The Godfather – The Coppola Restoration DVD boxed set, a 5-disc compilation featuring all three Godfather films, commentary by Francis Ford Coppola, additional scenes, and tons and tons of other extras.
Amazon won’t part with this impressive set for less than sixty bucks. I know… steep, eh? Maybe if you win, you can do your part for our failing economy and trade this DVD collection for a bankrupt Wall Street investment bank.
It’s not like you’d do any worse than previous management, right? Right.
To sign up to win a brand-new copy of the The Godfather, The Coppola Restoration Collection DVD set:
- If you haven’t already, get an e-mail subscription to Great White Snark. It won’t cost you nuthin’.
- Leave a comment on this post. In the “Mail (will not be published)” field, enter the same e-mail address of your subscription, so I know who you are.
- In the comment, name your favorite fictional mafia character from movies or TV.

i didnt read the directions thoroughly. i was too busy thinking about important stuff. the obvious answer to the question of fav mob character has to be the horse who donated the use of his head. total method acting.

My favorite is Fat Tony from The Simpsons, but mostly because he has such kind eyes.

I found you through Cake Wrecks and looks like today was the perfect day – I’m looking forward to the Godfather DVD collection that I’m going to win (do I get points for optimism?). Although I’m not gonna save the world with it, I’m going to give it to my husband. Maybe he’ll save the world.

Favorite “mafia” person for me is Lucius Vorenus from HBO’s outstanding ROME. Now this guy is the shit. He killed his wife, sold his children into bondage and slavery, and became an agent of Mars, the Lord of War.

For I second there I thought we had to say Fat Tony from The Simpsons, so I went back and reread the rules. Whew! I am going to say Don Giovanni from Robin Hood: Men in Tights. And hey look at that – he pays tribute to this giveaway. I like his lizard a lot too. : )

Ok, well favorite mob character, that’s easy. Tommy DeVito from Goodfellas. I mean c’mon! He’s hysterical. Coming from a Jersey Italian family, he just strikes me that he could be one of my uncles. They get all crazy and overdramatic like that.

My favorite TV mobster is Clamps from Futurama. That robot is a dedicated soldier. “It’s gonna be clamp this, clamp that, badda-climp badda-clamp!”
My favorite movie mobster is Keyser Soze.

I’ve gotta admit, the fellas from The Black Donnellys are among my favorites – especially Tommy.
Also, I feel it necessary that I have never seen any of the Godfather movies, although I want to very, very much. :\

My favorite fictional mafia character was from the made for tv movie “Bella Mafia.”
Sophia Luciano was a badass who took over the family business with her mother-in-law and sisters-in-law after her mob husband, brothers-in-laws, and sons are killed by…who turns out to be her son.
Plus, can you say incest???

Sadly I have to echo the masses on this one. Fat Tony is by far my favorite mafia character. Followed very closely by Keyser Soze from the Usual Suspects. Not necessarily mafia, but definitely organized crime.

Hate to be obvious, but I love Fredo Corleone and I think that John Cazale is one of the most underappreciated actors of the 1970s. Sad to say I actually identify with Fredo.

Connie Corleone is my favorite mobster. She’s the coldest heart in the whole lot of them.
My great uncle has one of the cars from The Godfather. It’s full of bullet holes. It’s sitting in an old shed. I wish he’d refinish it and loan it to an auto museum or something. It’s so cool.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched all 3 movies, and I’m a girl. I love The Godfather.

My favorite of all time Robert Deniro as young Vito Corleone, then Michael Corleone, then Sonny Corleone, Luca Brassi, then Tony Soprano I have too many to list just one. I am a giant Mafia fan!
