Giveaway: Kung Fu Panda Plus Secrets of the Furious Five DVD Two-Pack!
By Great White Snark | November 11, 2008
I can’t say enough good things about Kung Fu Panda.
Mostly because I am unskilled with the words and the talking of things and such. (See?)
But it’s not for lack of merit on the part of this brilliant mashup of comedy, heart, martial arts action, and stunning CGI animation.
(And, no… I did not lift that last line from a blurb on the back of the DVD. Sadly, I crafted that unimaginative sentence all by my lonesome. Just me and my Generic Movie Endorser 2000.)
Anyway, if you haven’t already gathered… this week I’m giving away the Kung Fu Panda Two - Pack, which includes Kung Fu Panda, plus the bonus straight-to-DVD companion flick, Secrets of the Furious Five.
To sign up to win a brand-new copy of Kung Fu Panda plus Secrets of the Furious Five on DVD:

Jack, from Heat Vision and Jack, FTW.
November 11th, 2008 at 3:12 am
my favorite Jack Black role was School of Rock. that movie was solid gold.
November 11th, 2008 at 4:31 am
“No you’re not hardcore! Unless you live hardcore! And the legend of the rent was way hardcore! ” - Jack Black as Dewey Finn - as Ned Schneebly - in the School of Rock.
November 11th, 2008 at 5:30 am
Favorite - Jerry Gerber from Be Kind Rewind
November 11th, 2008 at 6:10 am
I’ll also remember him as JD in Saving Silverman
November 11th, 2008 at 7:35 am
Least favorite would be in High Fidelity. Although, it may just be that the movie bored me.
November 11th, 2008 at 7:36 am
Favorite Jack Black role would be ‘High Fidelity’. My least favorite was his role in ‘King Kong’. It was a weird fit and I couldn’t buy it.
November 11th, 2008 at 8:09 am
I would say my least favorite was in Nacho Libre. Wasn’t much impressed with that one.
November 11th, 2008 at 8:12 am
High Fidelity was funny! So was Saving Silverman, I loved the stupid walki-talki “ccccc” conversation! (how do you spell that sound anyway?)
November 11th, 2008 at 8:17 am
I am already subscribing via Bloglines, does that count?
Favorite Jack Black role - There are a LOOOOOT of JB movies I haven’t seen. Oddly enough I really like him in The Holiday. I also enjoyed him in Kong.
November 11th, 2008 at 8:22 am
Favorite Jack Black role would be his sublimely understated acting in The Cable Guy. Most people forget him from that movie, since it was before he was “fmaous” and also because he doesn’t really act like his typical crazy self, showing that the man actually has some acting chops. Although I also find it fun to spot him in Demolition Man whenever it’s on TV (he’s one of Denis Leary’s gang members)
November 11th, 2008 at 8:51 am
I’ve always liked Jack Black in everything I’ve seen (and KNOWN it was him).
By far, I am impressed with his role as Po in KUNG FU PANDA. I cannot imagine anyone being able to make Po come to life as well as Jack Black did.
My least favorite role is in MARS ATTACKS!
November 11th, 2008 at 9:11 am
“School of Rock,” undoubtedly.
November 11th, 2008 at 9:25 am
*everybody was kung fu fighteeeeing*
November 11th, 2008 at 9:38 am
OK so there was a stupid ad on that was making noises while I was typing and it was annoying. So one of the first things I saw Jack Black in was I Still Know What You Did Last Summer; and I feel in love! This dude cracks me up!
November 11th, 2008 at 9:39 am
school of rock was the best!!!
November 11th, 2008 at 9:44 am
Not a big Jack Black fan, so Kung Fu Panda is definately my favorite. I refuse to watch Nacho Libre.
November 11th, 2008 at 9:49 am
My least favorite role he’s done is The Holiday and my favorite is…The School of Rock
November 11th, 2008 at 10:16 am
My favorite is Shallow Hal. Don’t understand why, but I just like it.
November 11th, 2008 at 10:27 am
Love Jack Black. Least favorite role would definitely be King Kong. Favorite….probably The Holiday.
November 11th, 2008 at 11:15 am
I usually can’t stand Jack Black but Tropic Thunder (and then Panda) redeemed him a little. His line as Jeff Portnoy left me laughing for a while : I’ll cradle the balls, stroke the shaft, work the pipes, and swallow the gravy.
oh man - how inappropriate and fantastic was that.
November 11th, 2008 at 11:15 am
My favorite Jack Black movie is “School of Rock” he’s a funny guy–Judie
November 11th, 2008 at 11:33 am
Jack Black is made of awesome, but my favorite performance has got to be as Carl Denham in King Kong.
November 11th, 2008 at 11:50 am
Has to be Tropic Thunder! I have not laughed so hard in a long time. I also love School of Rock and as cheezy as it is…Tenacious D: Pick of Destiny! I love the “D”!
November 11th, 2008 at 11:58 am
Can lightning strike twice? Me hopes so! Jack Black can be maddingly annoying, no doubt, but SCHOOL OF ROCK remains a modern comedy classic, both as a movie and as a performance. Least favorite? Believe it or not, every time I saw him in TROPIC THUNDER I wanted to knock his block off, he was as annoying as a lizard in your underpants. But I agree with V, that line had me crying in laughter. Heck it’s so good I’ll post it again: “I’ll cradle the balls, stroke the shaft, work the pipes, and swallow the gravy”. OH MY GOD!
November 11th, 2008 at 12:13 pm
Chimney Sweep in Run Ronnie Run. Kick her in the C***.
November 11th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
I love Nacho Libre, but I also enjoyed the character he played in High Fidelity
November 11th, 2008 at 12:35 pm

November 11th, 2008 at 12:45 pm
Gonna have to show my chick colors and admit that I freaking loved the guy in The Holiday.
November 11th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
Jack in Be Kind Rewind is great. Kung Fu Panda sweded would be awesome.
November 11th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
I liked him in School of Rock. I agree with Heat Vision and Jack as an alt though. (and although I can’t remember the name of the short film, he played a ‘talking computer’ from the future…or space…or future space…or something. Long and short of it was he had a computer monitor for a helmet and he talked like a computer. It…was awesome)
November 11th, 2008 at 2:16 pm
Loved: School of Rock
Hated: Everything else I’ve ever seen him in
November 11th, 2008 at 2:26 pm

Favorite JB role: Dewey Finn in School of Rock
November 11th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
Least favorite-School of Rock. That movie is one of those where you can feel the IQ points being sucked out of your head.
November 11th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
Liked school of rock. Thanks for the giveaway
November 11th, 2008 at 5:51 pm

November 11th, 2008 at 6:20 pm
I’m also going to fly my chick flag high and say The Holiday as my fav, but School of Rock is a close second.
I would instantly reach hero status with my son if I won this one! :)
November 11th, 2008 at 6:58 pm
My favorite role was Dewey in “School of Rock”. Least favorite movie was “Nacho Libre” but only he could have pulled that one off.
November 11th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
Naaaaachoooooooooo!
Seriously.
November 11th, 2008 at 8:19 pm

I have problems watching Jack Black as he looks just like my pastor. It’s weird! I guess my favorite role for him was ‘School of Rock’.
November 12th, 2008 at 1:26 pm
This movie looks awesome!
November 12th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
FAVORITE: The Tenacious D.
November 12th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
FAVORITE: The Tenacious D., the original series.
November 12th, 2008 at 2:32 pm
I actually really liked him back when he was on Mr. Show with Bob and David. I find he works best in an ensemble, like High Fidelity.
November 12th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
High Fidelity…….
God bless our troops
November 13th, 2008 at 12:09 am
Sweet giveaway!
Jack Black’s WORST role was as a geek mechanic in the Jackal who gets his arm blown off by Bruce Willis. What a waste…
November 13th, 2008 at 11:01 am
Maybe just because I’ve seen it a thousand times on Comedy Central, but I liked him in Orange County.
November 13th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
Jack Black is the ONLY reason to watch The Never Ending Story 3.
November 13th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
Jack in School of Rock is the favorite and least is the misadvertised Pick of Destiny. It was a musical. I was shocked and unprepared. Musicals take the right mood. Shame on the advertisers.
November 14th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
nacho libre was ridiculous…not in a good way
November 16th, 2008 at 9:29 am
Where’s the love for Nacho? That was awesome! Talk about teaching family values: Sometimes, you gotta fight for what you want. That and wear stretchy pants.
I guess if I had to pick a runner up it would be School of Rock… :)
November 17th, 2008 at 2:57 pm
My favorite Jack Black role has to be Shallow Hal. It was hilarious when he winds up dating this chick who is fat, but does not notice it because he was hypnotized by his friend to only see women as Hal wants them to be in his own point of view.
November 18th, 2008 at 9:21 am
High Fidelity. all the way!
November 19th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Who won? There’s no update. ?
November 19th, 2008 at 11:35 pm
Who won??????????????
November 20th, 2008 at 12:06 am
J Rob = winner extraordinaire. Or, just ordinaire. Don’t know. Haven’t met the dude.
