Once upon a time, Billy Bob Thornton co-starred in a big-budget action movie so poorly conceptualized that it threatened to bring down the career of its tall, dark-haired, “everyman” leading actor. Oh, and and a hot brunette chick provided the non-CGI eye candy.
The movie? Armageddon. (See what I did there?)
And then Billy Bob co-starred in Eagle Eye, a movie whose poor conceptualization actually serves as the icing of hilarity on a cake of sweet, mindless entertainment.
Seriously. It’s ridiculous. And awesome.
