Monday, November 23rd, 2009Thanks to these life-like sculptures by contemporary artist Gilles Barbier, we know that no hero–not Superman, Captain America, nor Hulk–will survive the ravages of age. For a second there, I thought that the catatonic (dead?) Catwoman was faring worst of all. But then I saw Wonder Woman’s bosom. Holy southern migration, Batman.

Pew! tattoo says “laser guns.”* Photo Credit: Jeimy C. on Flickr But someday–when the internetosphere has moved on to a whole new parlance–it will mean “my fingers reek.” I just hope I’m around to enjoy that day. * Which is a pretty bad-ass name for a pair of geek mitts, [...]
I’ll Take Two: Giant LEGO Mon Calamari Star Cruiser from Star Wars
Monday, November 16th, 2009I’ve posted before about super-industrious LEGO artist Thomas Benedikt and his life’s mission to build all of the Star Wars Trade Federation capital ships in LEGO. (Spoiler: 45,000 LEGO bricks and hundreds of hours of labor later, he succeeded. ) I guess he finally ran out of Star Wars prequel ships to build, ’cause his [...]
