EPIC NERD LOVE: Nerdy “Save the Date” Engagement Video

Hey, remember that awkward, low-rent Superman wedding video I released upon the internets last week? Well, this incredibly (and delightfully) nerdy “save the date” engagement video is what happens when you give a couple of betrothed nerds a better production budget and the equivalent of acting lessons from a high school drama club:

Yeah, obviously it doesn’t have a storyline so much as a random montage of things that nerds love–including capes, LARPing, water nymphs, lightning powers, cosplay, ninjas, circus tents, lightsabers, swords, princesses, archery, throwing knives, gothic jewelry, wizards, and medieval knights–built loosely upon a premise of, “Hey, you know what would be awesome?!”
But who needs a cohesive story when you’ve got lightsabers? Right, George?

Whoa! I thought it was pretty neat (albeit a lot like a couple kids playing dress up in the woods) until the lightsabers showed up. Then it was kinda strange.
Someone in my family actually did a medieval wedding a couple years back. Everyone dressed up, even the minister. It was really pretty. But there were no lightsabers. And it was a lot more cohesive than this video.

It was TOTALLY based upon the concept of “Hey, you know what would be awesome?!” You nailed it, lol! :)
