It Got Worse: The Star Trek Stage Musical

It’s been forty days since I last brought to your attention the ridiculousness of the classic Star Trek series. Not that I’ve been counting.*
And if you were wondering how anyone could make Star Trek even more terrible, I have your answer: adapt Gilbert & Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore into a stage musical with a Star Trek theme.
If find yourself tapping your foot along to the music while watching this clip from the show, please do me the favor of judging yourself severely. You know… to save me the effort.
My only solace is that most of those people are Red Shirts and will die as soon as the next away mission.
* I’ve been counting.

I don’t know if this is a distinct version, but I actually saw a production of this or something exceptionally like it at the Fashion Institute of Technology TEN YEARS AGO. (Yeesh, can’t believe it’s been that long.)
