FOR REALS: Working Homemade Steampunk Gun [Video]

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

Artist Jonathan Alberico on deviantART crafted this working Steampunk rifle and named it “Doris”. Which is a pretty funny name for a hand-held air cannon that can fire 40mm projectiles.
A serious piece of work like this obviously deserves an “Eloise” or an “Agatha”.

Fashioned from copper, brass, antique pine and assorted lamp parts. This stunning piece [...]

DOH-tastic: My Little Homer Simpson

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Sometimes you just want to see Homer Simpson as a little pony.

I’m not saying that this is one of those times… but I’m showing you the damn picture, anyway.
(This piece is the fine work of Tia on deviantART.)

So Wrong: Vader. Dude. That’s Your *Daughter*, Man.

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

You thought the Wampa in The Empire Strikes Back was terrifying?

Well, now picture the Wampa galloping across planet Hoth on the beams of a rainbow. That’s terror, baby.
The Star Wars My Little Wampa Pony was crafted by deviantART user xXPaintedxPonyXx, who’s currently selling the My Little Wampa on Ebay. Cheers to him for profiting off [...]

Sopor-Terrific: Star Wars Millennium Falcon Bed

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

Kayla Kromer’s custom-made Millennium Falcon bed comes complete with a “smuggler’s” pouch, headlamps, and space in the cockpit for action figures/stuffed animals/warp drive controls. But no space chess in the cargo hold.
Which I would harp on, but I have a soft spot for Hoth Leia. She and her bundled layers leave everything to the imagination. [...]

The Superman Fortress of Solitude Desk Gives Your Desk an Inferiority Complex

Friday, December 11th, 2009

Scott T., a digital video lighting and FX guy from Oakland, CA, decided that the way out of mundane, cube-dwelling existence started with styrofoam, paper, acrylic tubes, and paper. Oh, and a lot of glue.
Scott turned his work cubicle into a Superman-style “Fortress of Solitude,” complete with a crystal console desk lamp and a molded [...]
