Friday, August 20th, 2010I thought you all should know: Cthulthu now has suction powers.
This can’t go well.
Via Nerd Approved, who loves it when I pander to you Cthulhu fans. Because my shamelessness smells like honey with a hint of delicate mint.

Who’s the Architect?: Scenes from Inception in LEGO
Friday, August 6th, 2010These vignettes by Lego artist Profound Whatever faithfully recreate the tone, scenery, and coloration of Inception, and beautifully captures the movie’s spirit of, “Hey, lots of pretty things and fast-paced deployment of convoluted logic will distract you from the plain fact that none of this makes any sense, ok? Ok.”
Two Words: Toy Lamp!
Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010This one-of-a-kind Toy Lamp by designer Ryan McIlhinney illustrates a position I’ve long-touted: all home furnishings should be made of whimsy and polyurethane laquer.
Made of recycled Toys which are bonded toghther and then coated in a High Gloss polyurethane laquer.
See? Perfect.
Whoever can name any of these action figures (WHY, HELLO, BUZZ LIGHTYEAR!) gets an official [...]
Scalper’s Delight: Wonder Woman Invisible Jet Toy
Monday, August 2nd, 2010Let me sum up the Comic-Con toy-collecting economy for you:

Mattel realizes that nutty toy [...]
Serenity + Adorablawesome = River Tam and Wash “Little Damn Heroes” Maquettes
Tuesday, July 20th, 2010River Tam and Wash, the latest in Quantum Mechanix’s “Little Damn Heroes” line of Serenity maquettes have been revealed. And I’ve been temporarily blinded by a fit of delight. And, also? Conjunctivitis. But that’s a totally separate matter.
Unfortunately, the internets won’t tell me the when, how much, or where of the retail availability of these [...]
Stop Tricking My Eyes!: M.C. Escher Lego Scene in Space
Thursday, July 15th, 2010Cheers to Alex Eylar for creating this M.C. Escher-inspired Lego scene.
Though the “outer space” theme somewhat mitigates for me the usual delightfully-mind-boggling nature of Escher’s work. I mean, astronauts are supposed to walk sideways in space, right?
Via Brothers Brick, who doesn’t know about this whole “boggling” thing, but is always up for a good mind-buggering.
