I’ve long claimed that anime is nonsensical, boring, and ridiculous. And I’m happy to admit when I’m wrong: I mistakenly failed to mention that anime is also hilariously derivative. Derek Lieu sampled the opening credits from over 80 different anime to illustrate that Japanese animators have even less originality than a Hello Kitty backpack.
